First from today's five movies is Roberto Benigni's "Life is beautiful".

Roberto Benigni was director and plays main role in his own movie.And he wins Oscar for the Best Actor.

Guido's wife Dora is played by Roberto's real-life wife, Nicoletta Braschi.

Roberto says the title comes from a quote by Leon Trotsky knowing he was about to be killed by Stalin's assassins, he saw his wife in the garden and wrote that in spite of everything "life is beautiful'.

 

"Leon"

During the filming a man ran from a store he had just robbed.When he saw "police" man gaves himself up to a bunch of uniformed extrs.

"Leon" was Portman's first role in cinema.She was 11 when she was cast.

All of the interiours of Leon's apartment were shot in Paris,all of the shots of the outside were shot earlier in New York.

 

"Forrest Gump"

When Forrest first learns to play ping-pong in the infirmary, he is told the trick is to "keep his eye on the ball" by another soldier. After that moment, whenever he is shown playing ping-pong, he never blinks.

Bill Murray, John Travolta and Chevy Chase turned down the role of Forrest Gump. Travolta later admitted that passing on the role was a mistake.
